FOR UNDER 25'S.

 

We are able to offer a safe, knowledgeable and accepting environment for young people to talk and to access sexual health services.

All our clinics are for 19 and under, however, our STI clinics are open to 24s and under.

Common Youth offer:

  • Emergency Contraception

  • Pregnancy Testing

  • Testing for Infections

  • Counselling

We’re Open.

You do not need to book an appointment, please feel free to drop in during our clinic opening hours.

FAQ’s

“Is there an age limit for getting tested?”

STI Testing is available for all young people 24 and under.

“Are all of your clinics for girls?”

Common Youth clinics are open for all young people aged 19 and under, including a young men’s clinic from 16:00 - 17:30 every Saturday in Belfast.

Please call or drop in during clinic hours to speak with a member of our medical staff. Our staff are fully trained and can offer helpful advice alongside any relevant information specific to your needs.

“Do you provide contraceptive services?”

Common Youth provide contraceptive services to young people aged 19 and under.

“How long does it take before I find out test results?”

Following testing, the samples we have taken after your clinic visit are sent to a laboratory. This can take around 2-3 weeks, so please allow time for this process to be complete. Staff will contact you via your preferred method of contact (e.g. text, email). Negative results are received via text.

Policy, Protocols and Procedures.

All of our policies, protocols and procedures at Common Youth are agreed and reviewed annually by a Management Committee and any relevant staff groups.  It is of the utmost importance that our policies continuously meet the ongoing needs of young people that avail of the services we provide at each of our Common Youth clinics.
